The Waking

Theodore roethke wrote poem The waking. This poem is in form of Villanelle. why did he use really old form of poem? There might be better. But I think it is because it is best form of poem that has great rhythm. His rhythm was creepy. rhythm emphasized those words and it was kind of good. Using this format of poem wasvery good because it sounds very comfortable. That might be why he chose this format of poem

Ballad

In the middle of green sea

Two loves grew their size

But sky only sees three lovers

Two hearts wrote love for her

But one did not told to her

And left in words forever

He prayed to god

He prayed to stop his time

Every day, he prayed to his god

But his god stopped other boy’s time

Boy thought god gave him chance to change

But it was mistake

Girl prayed to her god

To exchange her life and lover’s life

Every day she prayed to her god

But god didn’t have

He didn’t have power

When time stops, no can restart

She waited for her love

She couldn’t live with him

Boy couldn’t help her

Girl went weaker and weaker

Boys get sick of inability

Girl finally decided

When no one is near her

She killed herself

And finally two lovers met

Boy who left in the world

Never visit them

it lasted in boy's heart

but it was not the end

Another love story began

in great father's love house

Dark sky with bright light

If I can give any gifts to anybody, then I would give my father a new car and driver. Our car is not that old it is fairly new; however, mom use Benz but father use korea car which is not as good as benz. Father use it and say it doesn't have any problem but I can see him having hard time using it because of small problems. Also, father sometimes takes hours and hours to get home because of traffic. He is always tired, exhausted. I wish that won't happen any more but I don't have any choice him tired because of traffic problem



If I can be a person in the past I really want to be Great king Alexander. Because he was strong and conquer the europe. He beat Persia down and he beat many other country before he dies. I want to live in time that is chaos because of me, and die before I get old and become weak. life of Alexander is very attaractive because I can live life that I want even though it can threaten my life
